Defense Attorney - Workers’ Compensation

Location: Fully Remote

Salary Range: $110,000 - $210,000 (Depending on Experience)

Experience Level: 1 year minimum experience handling Workers Compensation cases.

Responsibilities:

• Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers' compensation cases

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters

• Prepare and conduct depositions, hearings, and trials

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes

• Stay current with California workers' compensation laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school required

• Recently passed the California Bar Exam, pending Bar results, or significant interest/experience in workers' compensation

• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
